In light of recent oil spills, submarine implosions and plane disappearances, my social media feeds have been flooded with a wide range of materials responding to such ‘incidents’, ranging from formal news reports, to infographics, and even memes. I've always been quite interested in how we make sense of tragedy through these seemingly disconnected pieces of information, and this book is a small gesture towards understanding the incomprehensible.
